I like the Fender CS Nocasters in the bridge...1 is the earlier 10k version of it....I have a Tele Texas Special in the neck of one and a 52 Reissue neck pickup in the other..I need to try Duncans, but I do like the fender pickups...Originally Posted by the guy who invented fire

The 10k Nocaster bridge pickup and a Texas Special Tele neck pickup is a killer combo. I'll bet you rip people's heads off with that combo.Originally Posted by STRATDELUXER97

Hello Butch....Well....I'm pretty much a Duncan pickup user,in fact my 2 Teles are the only 2 guitars in my wide collection that don't have Duncans..Originally Posted by Butch Snyder
I don't know why,but I actually like the CS Fender Nocaster and Texas Special Tele pickups? They aren't warm and round like my feelings about the Duncan product, but there's something about the Fender Tele pickups that works....
I'm also using the 52 reissue Tele neck pickup and it's great also...I know Seymour is all about Tele pickups, but it's working,so no sense spending more money on the Duncans...Both of my Teles have been very inspiring to play the last 2 days..Last night I sat on my bed, found a great tone through my Cyber Twin at a low volume and I played for 2 hours straight...It was great and made me realize why I love playing guitar so much all these years...![]()

So, does this mean that there is a forum moniker change coming in your future?![]()

Teles rock! For me, they sit perfectly between a Les Paul and a Strat. A do anything guitar. I don't own one currently, but I really should.![]()

Anyone have any favorite models they like based on type of music they play with 'em? I'd be curious to know if there are certain advantages, sound or construction wise, to going after certain year Tele's.
rock on

They're annoyingly addictive, aren't they? I can come home after an evening of playing the Les Paul all night, not really wanting to play anymore, and I'll pick up the Bastardcaster and play for another 2 hours. I have a love / hate relationship with mine, but it goes to every show.

Nice looking Tele's, John! I'll take that maple-necked one in a right-hand model. Are both of those American models? Have you played very many MIM models and could offer an opinion on MIM v. MIA?

Both are great, but I like the rosewood Tele better...I've not played a lefty MIM Tele though?

I totaly agree with you about Japanese Fenders. I love my MIJ 60 RI Strat, and haven't heard too many bad things if any about MIJ axes.
