Question Anyone tried the new 4-wire Vintage Rails/Duckbuckers?

Just curious how they sound wired in series. How they might compare to a Cool Rails, which seems to have very close specs?

I'm more intersted in wiring them stereo.

But then You can do that with any humbucker with 2 sets af adjustable coils... just remove some poles...

Funny you should say that. I was also thinking that wiring one of the VR's or Duck's like this:

. . . would give you a sort of built-in bass/treble control. Might be interesting.

    Anyone else tried one yet?

Edit: I used one of my generic humbucker artwork for that example. A VR/Duck wouldn't look like that.

i havent artie, but i am curious as t why you think that would yield a bass/treble result? ...also, i dont know about the duck/vr, but in the next gen mystery noiseless, the coils are not evenly wound ... the noise cancelling is brought about by a combination of an antenna/shield feeding the second coil with just enough winds to do the job, leaving the tone production essentially fmo just the true single coil ...

    good luck

Here's what I was thinking: The VR/Duckbucker has one set of pole peices for the lower three strings, and one for the upper three strings. So if you wired up a dial-a-split, (my variation of spin-a-split), you'ld effectively be balancing the lower strings with the upper. Not quite bass/treble to be sure, but possibly, an interesting affect. Maybe not.
