You slide your pick down the strings at a 90 degree angle... it sounds way better on the thicker wound strings (E+A IMO). If I do it I always do it going towards the neck

Oh yeah, you need loads of delay and you have to end on a power chord. Those are the only rules


I always use a Jim dunlop stubby> make's quite a few tecniques easier (pain in the butt for strumming though!!!)![]()
I was shown this really cool trick years ago >>> try tapping with a pick by holding the pick against the string & tensing your arm so it goes into spasm!!!>>>>> instant mettalica ONE solo!!!!

Thats called pick tapping I think
First time I ever heard it was in Satch's surfing solo - I didn't know what was going on.. I thought he had some kind of pneumatic fingers![]()
