I don't like Epiphone (especially there acoustic guitars), Dean, Tele, CBS strat, B.C. Rich, Carvin 6 in line, and G&L.

I mostly like traditional headstock like gibson and Heritage, but I like Jackson and Ibanez. I depends alot on the guitar to. For the most part I don't like headstocks on copys it looks like someone screwed up.
    Guitars:
    Gibson ES-137 (490R/498T)
    Gibson Blueshawk (Blues P90/Hot P90
    Ibanez S470 (Jazz/Hot Stack/Custom 5)
Squire Fat Strat (CR/Texas Custom Shop/JB)
    Yamaha Acoustic

    Amp: Fender Blues DeVille

This is so true. How did I miss this thread??

There are a few very specific ones I can't stand. Except Hamer - those are just sort of boat-paddley-looking, but could be a lot worse.

I don't like the giant Kramer phallus banana.

I don't like the Driskill got-happy-with-the-bandsaw look either. His body style is cool, but it looks like he started with a profile of the PRS headstock on a piece of paper and just started drawing stuff sticking out of it.

B.C. Rich is humorous. It's all too silly to really hate. I hear the high-end US models come with a pair of lace-up leather breeches.

I really dislike the CBS Fender fat cousin headstock. It looks like a cartoon depiction of the real thing.

Tyler. Killer, killer, killer guitar. The nutjob headstock is the price you pay for owning one, I guess. Call it a rite of passage: "I can withstand this mongoloid headstock in order to play such a sweet guitar."

Headstocks I really LIKE: Thorn, Koll, and Soloways have nice ones too.

same as some others mentioned. Parker, Tyler, Dean V, and Fender Tele...ugly as Alice the Goon. others that are ugly, but like the guitars enough to not let it bother me....Wolfgang and Brian Moore. Even though i don't own one, my favorite happens to be the Gibby Explorer and other banana/hockey sticks.

Didn't anyone ever tell you guys personality is more important than looks? You could be missing out on a perfectly good guitar because you can't look inside. So one's a little fat, another is too thin, one is weird shaped. They have feelings ******!

you are all superficial bastids, shame on you!

at my age, and then throw in the fact that i've only been playing for a little over a year, i have earned the right to be superficial. not much time left in these old fingers, i gotta do who, what, where, and when while i'm still able oh, and that goes for guitar choices also!

It's okay to do that with guitars. The trouble starts when we start discarding people based on "appearances".

I love the look of Gibson open books, fender strats and large ones.
I love hockey sticks too! I want to warmoth myself a shredder axe with a reverse KWS.

I think heritage is OK. Gibson does look better, but I don't dislike Heritage. It's kinda elegant in its own way.
However I LOVE the large size Heritage headstocks on their jazzboxes! The next guitar I'm going to be getting is a Super Kenny Burrell. Haven't decided which color yet.

The headstocks I dislike are G&L - looks like a strat that has had a piece bitten out of it. (Also hate the bridges...)

No one mentioned the valley arts headstock? That thing looks dreadful.

The Tyler guitars headstock looks pretty clunky.

Robin said she's having a hard time getting used to the "castrated" headstock of my new EBMM.

i agree i prefer mroe traditional head stocks. Somehting simple is always best. Gibson, Fender, MArtin, Taylor have the right idea by keeping it simple. Brands like ibanez, BC rich, Wahsburn have terrible head stocks that just don't appeal to me. The ernieball headstock looks very odd as well. Great guitars bad headstock.... The PRS one however does look good as it just looks good.
