Default !!! Is There Something Wrong With My Jb !!!1

i JUST INSTALLED MY JB TB-4 IN MY SQUIER FAT STRAT, I SOLDERED AND TAPED THE RED AND WHITE WIRES TOGETHER, I CONNECTED THE BARE AND GREEN WIRES TO GROUND ON THE VOLUME POT, AND I CONNECTED THE BLACK HOT WIRE TO THE 5 WAY SWITCH.

THE PICKUP JUST SEEMS TO GET WAY TO MANY HIGHS. IT SOUNDS PRETTY AWSOME ON THE HIGH NOTES, KINDA GETS THAT RANDY RHOADS STYLE OF LEADS. BUT ON THE LOW NOTES IT JUST DOES SEEM TO DISTORT ENOUGH, HECK MY STOCK SQUIER HUMBUCKER DISTORTED MORE THAN THIS PICKUP DID. tHE LOW NOTES ACTUALLY SEEM KINDA MUDDY WITH DISTORTION.

IVE PRETTY MUCH HEARD ALL GOOD ABOUT THIS PICKUP SO DID I DO SOMETHING WRONG? OR IS THIS JUST THE WRONG PICKUP FOR MY GUITAR? THIS GUITAR HAS A MAPLE NECK, ROSEWOOD FRETBOARD, AND AGATHIS BODY. i PLAY THROUGH A LIL 12 WATT MARSHAL, WHICH SEEMS TO GET TOO MANY HIGHS AS IT IS, WHICH MAY BE PART OF THE PROB.

SO IF ANY ONE HAS ANY IDEAS ON WHAT TO DO TO BETTER THE SOUND IT WOULD BE WEEEELLLL APRECIATED.

    AND LIKE ALWAYS ROOOOCKKKK ONNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Sounds like you wired it right. Maybe just not the right pickup for that guitar. I know from my own experience that JB's like to be close to the strings to sound the best. They thin out a bit if they are set too low so mayb e try raising it a bit.

    Towards helping the OP:

It sounds like your wiring is correct... how well are the studs and strings lining up?

IIRC, the trembucker is designed to line up with a Floyd Rose tremolo, which is spaced wider than a standard Fender tremolo...

F-spaced means Fender spaced, not Floyd Rose spaced. Floyd spacing is based off Fender's.

And OP, double check your solders again. The hot wire may not have the best joint, or potentially the switch has been damaged. The stock Squier ones are junk, and break easily. I've had to replace these before.
