Can't wait for the review! He suggested that I try them in my Bassman LTD, to lower the clean headroom. I'm debating whether to sell the amp or keep it. It'll never be my main amp, so it's just a luxury item at this point.

While I haven´t used that particular tube, I can tell you the TAD stuff is really great. And they´ve been really good to me as a customer ever since I gave Ruby Tubes/ Magic Parts the boot... Great guys and good products for fair prices: what more could I want?

BTW, I´m assuming you all mean Tube Amp Doctor, a company based in Germany

    I'd like to know how the TAD's compair againist JJ's? I've got a JTM45RI
that just fell into my possesion. I'd love to lose the 5881's in it for a
pair of KT66's, But that's a Lil' pricey for a Amp that I don't own. Maybe
the TAD 6L6 small bottles would fit the bill?

The TAD 6L6WGB's are going to sound pretty good, but nowhere near KT66's I don't believe. I'd say they're closer to 5881's than KT66's.

I have a set of KT66HP's from groove tubes that are really nice tubes. Not sure where they are made though.

Scott...I bought the small 6L6s,as I wasn't sure on what to get? Seems the smaller tubes are more popular, have had more reviews, and have been around longer than the bigger bottled TAD 6L6s?

They weren't that expensive,so I thought I'd try them out myself...

whats the difference between the big and small bottles?

i remember the old coke bottle 6l6's that were great. they broke up early and had a great bluesy tone, unfortunatly they broke easily and wore out quickly but it was a nice tone

generally speaking the big bottles like the RCA style ones get more headroom and breakup late. More of a clean tube the big bottles are!

I'm trying to remember this so I don't get it crossed, but I think the big bottle ones are supposed to be copies of RCA's and the small bottles are supposed to be copies of the GE's.
