Okay I can hear what i recorded during play back... but i can hear what i am recording while i am recording it. and i cant find out where to turn this feature on or what it is even called. ive tried the manual and the help section but its like searching for a needle in a hay stack.

im using a m-audio mobile pre and sony acid studio 5.0

anyone have any advise on how to solve this problem.

I think what you need is to enable the proper input on the Windows mixer. It can have different names on different systems. Open up your recording mixer, and look for something like "loop back", "Stereo mixer", etc. On one computer, I believe it was actually called: "What you hear."

Thats a start. Also, check your manual and make sure the soundcard is full-duplex. If it isn't . . . you can't.

I'm rockin' pro Tools 6.4, & there is a button to activate input monitoring. It's Prolly something like that for u. Do a search to see if there a forum for that particular software???
