Default Anyone Knowledgable about Drum programming? (Battery, DFH?)

Alright, my impatience with slow-learning or no-talent drummers, as well as my need for a drum machine of sorts has finally gotten fairly bad.

From different forums and whatnot, I've found that the best way to pull off good drums is with a program like Battery or Drumkit From Hell and controlling it via midi. Now, I have a keyboard that's touch sensitive and has midi-ports, so I'm assuming I could use this for controlling the drums, I just don't know how to go about doing this.

    Anyone know?

I would recommend FruityLoops 5. Superb program.

Alright, I found out, and tell me if I'm wrong, that to do all this, I essentially need a midi controller, someway to hook it up to the PC, Battery, and a recording program that supports it. Ah, and drum samples, of course.

I got Battery 2, and unfortunately, Cool Edit doesn't support it, so I have a copy of Cubase on the way. So now, all I should need is a midi interface for the keyboard, and some samples, right?

Should this work out according to plan, I'll have some badass clips on the way!

Yes you do need a midi interface. They are cheap and for what your doing you probably only need a 1 input interface. I recommend the Edirol UM-1X. Its only like 39.99 and works perfectly.
