    Default '67 Deluxe Reverb?

Ok, so now I've got an offer from a guy who owns an original '67 Deluxe Reverb for 15 000 kroner, which is about the same as for a new '59 bassman RI.

So, can anyone out there tell me about the '67 DR? Is it a good year? It has Celestion g12k-85, if that matters.

I had a 67 DR and it was one of the sweetest sounding amps I ever had--and I wish I never got rid of it. If I'm not mistaken, that is one of the more generic and not too exciting Celestion speakers. Anyways, that amp is just great for cleans, overdriven cleans and blues. Mine worked great with a RAT pedal for rock and metal, though I wouldn't do that again with this amp!

I'd say that even though it is a post CBS amp, it will still be a better sounding amp than the 59 RI. Of course this in all just an opinion, but I've had the Deluxe and I've heard the 59 RI and I liked the Deluxe better.
    My songs....enjoy! (hopefully )

Oh, I haven't thought of buying a Bassman, I just compared the prices, so you know how cheap/expensive it is...

If the amp checks out, it's probably worth the Kroner.

Gotcha--It's worth the cash IF that's the sound you want.

I'm not really familiar with that speaker, but I would think the G12H 30 is a better match, power wise

How does the '67 compare to the '65? I've got a new offer; 14 000 kroner for '65... Which one is the best in your eyes/ears?
