L'il 59 in Tele

If anyone has a L'il '59 in their Tele could they tell me how it performs and what amount of gain or what amp it works best with and would a pot switch be necessary?

Also, for a future mod what would be a good neck pup compliment?

I had a Little '59 in my Tele a few years ago. I put it in there for about a year, and then I changed it back to a single coil after I bought a Les Paul.

If you're looking for a humbucker sound for rock, it'll work very well. When I had it in my tele, I used a Peavey Classic 30, and I used a Berhinger V-Amp2 for recording. I liked it using the pup with the British/Marshall amp models. But of course, what amp you use and what settings you want will depend on the sound that you're after.

I used a 250K switch back then. It could have used more treble, so a 500K should work well, but I never bothered.

In the end, I just felt that my Tele needed to have single coils in it, so that's how it is now.

The little 59 is a cool pickup for getting humbucker tones from a tele. I really liked it with my jcm800, but I did not play it much with other amps. It cleans up well and sounds good under medium and high gain.
