I bought a tube of this stuff and just applied to the nuts on my guitars. Has anyone used this before? Does it work as well as it claims, guaranteed to not go out of tune?

"guaranteed to not go out of tune" is a bit of hyperbole but it seems to do a good job of cutting down nut binding. I didn't have tuning problems before using it but after using it, the tuning process seems a bit easier.Originally Posted by marty_the_westie

I thought it worked very well.
I was having a bit of binding on my "Guitars" G string.
Nut sauce did the job.

I've used it since it's inception...less filling,tastes great....
The stuff works very well...Makes tuning smoother and takes the "chink" noises out of your Gibson nuts while you tune.I normally don't have a problem with my guitars being out of tune, but I Know it has cut down on string breakage at the bridge..

"nut sauce on my G-string" leaves a terrible mental image...
I like the stuff though.

You can buy it at your local drug store. I remember the first time my wife asked me to buy some. I asked the pharmacists where the Astroglide was. The little college bimbo helper had to stifle a laugh. It was pretty funny when it happened. Quote: "Hey Ron, Deborah asked me to pick up something called Astroglide. Where's it at?" Bimbo starts to laugh. "It's down that ailse with the KY and stuff".
Then it hit me what it was for. Then I laughed. Then I couldn't wait to get home.![]()

Naw, 'Wet' works better, and it doesn't make your nuts as sticky.
