Sperzels for me. Although I haven´t tried the Planet Waves, yet. But I see no need to.

Funny that I only have one axe with Sperzels, though. But then again, 90% of the rest have Original or Floyds, one a Kahler

I have Sperzels on my Explorer and Les Paul (my 2 main axes) and I love only having to tune them once or twice per week.

I voted for Schaller, because my beloved 80's G&L's use them. I've used tuners made by all of the manufactures listed, except Planet Waves. I've had great luck with all of them. Waverly tuners weren't listed in the poll, but they are very nice tuners also.

Anything that locks. Also, the LSR and Steinberger tuners with the 40:1 ratio are awesome.

I havent tried much, but I find Sperzels are great for stability.. of course I dont mind the stock tuners on my Ibanez, their quite good, but non-locking

We had a little Duncan Forum Get together in Houston last summer. six or seven of us showed up and had a good time.

Maybe we're due for an Austin Duncan Forum. JMV is there, Jfromhouston would probably drive up, I'm in CS, Sykes is in West Texas but he comes to Austin now and then... who am I forgetting?

Oh, almost forgot what this thread was all about!
I like Sperzel's and Schaller locking tuners. I use Sperz's on my LP and they work great, and am going to put Schaller locking tuners on my Amer. Strat. I will say that I like the Vintage Kluson tuners alot on my 60's Strat, too. They're a breeze when all you have to do is insert the trimmed string in through the top slot, wrap it around the post once or twice and tune. Sweet!

I like Grovers & Schallers. I haven't been sold on Sperzels, but I can see their advantages. I personally like to wrap a lot of string around the post and there isn't the need to do that with Sperzels.

DFW Metroplex here, the new Grover 18:1 locking tuners are killer, got them on both my guitars.
