Question SD-59 humbucker polepiece screws too long?

    Hi,
I have a SD-59 pup i wanna install in my custom shop wolfgang. The polepieces screws stick out of the bottom farther than the ears. When i put the pickup in the cavity, the pole piece screws hit the bottom of the cavity first and it makes the pickup teeter totter. Can i cut some length off of the polepiece screws somehow? What could i use?
    Or what could i do?

    thanks :fing25:

PS:this pickup has short ears, and is from the custom shop, I can't figure out why Seymour Duncan would make a pickup with such long polepiece screws, that are longer than the ears. This is ridiculous.

the 59 usually has long legs so the long pole pieces wouldnt be a problem. yes you can cut a little off the pole pieces.

can i hand file them or would the vibration be a problem? I would tape it to prevent filings getting in. THe polepieces are only a hair too long, about a 1/16" of an inch.

    thanks

PS:Can i unscrew the polepieces out? how would i get them back to factory specs if i did this? i have a DMM
