There is something extremely appealing to me in the simplicity of the Tele....ESPECIALLY with a transparent ash body!

Look at the beauty in my link below & tell me it isn't gorgeous!!!!!

I agree, I think that that blonde Teles with a maple neck (duh) and a black pickguard is just sexy. Blonde Tele

I'm GAS-ing over one really bad. Curse this forum and it's GAS-inducing conversations.

I bought a black guard for mine a while back but haven't had the time to throw it on there.

It's a fancy carved leather one & I have the matching hardware, so I just need to sit down & do it.

Then I'll DARE ya' to tell me a Tele is ugly !!!!!!!

    a 3 pickup tele...not a bad idea

if i ever bought a strat that "block" idea would probably be the route i'd go as well...i like hardtails much better than trems!

One color that I love on both a strat and tele is the midnight wine. I have a MIA strat in that color and saw a tele a few weeks ago in the same color. It was beautiful and a perfect match to my strat, except is was MIM.

Very nice Tele. I've been gassing for one for a while now. Can't buy one just yet but I'm either going to hunt down a used MIA or build a Warmoth Tele and stain the body a really dark stain and load it with the Jerry Donahue bridge and Hot Rhythm neck.

Hardtail Strats are pretty sweet! The fixed bridge and the rosewood fretboard (and the pretty reasonable price) are the reasons I bought the Delonge model when it was still available. Sold the Invader and fixed it up but good! :-D

buuuut, I do believe y'all're talking about American Strats, so I'll bow out here.

    I got one!

Although if I was buying new, I wouldnt get it just because of those 2 and more artists. But it was used...and I couldn't be happier.

I'm not positive, but I don't think the Cray is American. The price just seems too low to be MIA. (I don't mean the signature, just the "standard".)

btw - I'm in the process right now of converting my 3-pup Tele-clone to a more conventional configuration, with a JD and an AII Pro.

Thanks Bro....can't wait to get the free time to throw the El Dorado stuff on it!

Artie, they've got both an American & Mexican Robert Cray.....bit of a price difference though:

After reading that more, the MIA is actually a Custom Shop Signature model

I had an ESP Jake E. Lee signature that was a Hardtail. I dig the hardtails, because if I wanted to wammy, I'd use a Foyd.

My hardtail Strat resonates more and has more mids than my trem-equipped fender. just sayin.
