    Default Line 6 Guitar Port

I picked up one of these beauties earlier this week and I have to say I am extremely impressed. I have discovered the wonderful thing that is the ibanez tube screamer model and have run across what I think might just be the perfect tone.

It's not a tone I would normally dial up, but it is one I have been in search of for quite a while.

My normal tone would = Hi gain with a tight bottom end, slightly boosted top end with mids about 75-80%.

This tone is more mid gain with a looser bottom end and very mid rangy.

I havent bought any of the extra model or effects packs. I'm not sure or not if it is even worth it with prices starting at $50.

I'd like to add on rifftracker, but I have already sunk $100 into the guitar port itself and the rifftracker add on is another $100. I believe you can get the guitar port and rifftracker all in one for a bit less than $200, so it seems a bit of a rip off to get them separately.

What y'all think of this handy device?

Mine just came in today actually, and I agree it's pretty cool. This is not my first experience w/ Line 6 by any means, but I was still pleasantly surprised. Funny enough, I ordered mine from www.sweetwater.com, and for some reason got the Guitarport/Rifftracker combo for $100 shipped.

I love mine, I just ordered the metal shop model pack too and I'm really diggin' it.
"it is a really hard song. it has like 3 different power chords in it. i just learned what power chords are, i thought it was the thing from your amp that you plug in to the wall."

    You lucky dog!

I tried the demo version of rifftracker and I really dig the drum sounds on instant drummer. they were very natural sounding. Im wondering how presice you can get the drums to be.

I also checked out some of the model pack audio clips. I think out of them all the one id really want is the $100 model and effects pack. I liked the plexi models alot.
