Default Why does my MIM Std. Tele blow away my 50's RI Esquire??

In a side by side comparison, my MIM Standard Tele pretty much blows away my 50's Esquire with the SD Broadcaster p/up The Esquire isn't near as vibrant and "alive" as the Standard is, and the tone is more "in your face" and more open Who says these aren't nice guitars lol

I think it might be the 3-saddle bridge thats not letting the guitar resonate the way it should, who knows. I just know that the MIM Standard gets way better response and is more "up front"

That's why it's always best to play 'em before you buy 'em. A higher price doesn't always equate to a better sounding guitar.

Different pieces of wood, and who knows if the assembly line workers were having a productive day, or if they hit some mota at lunchtime? LOL

Who knows...all guitars are different, I will tell you this...a 3 saddle bridge has more sustain than a 6 saddle though, but the difference in tone between the brass saddles and the steel saddles will MAKE a HUE difference...try a set of 3 steel saddles on yout Esquire and see if that makes it any "better" for you
