Default Fair price for a LP Standard?

Sorry to be one of the many who ask but...

Found this black LP Standard in the local classifieds. The guy is asking for offers...

I'm still waiting for the pics... 2000 or 2001, ebony, supposedly in great shape (played one or two times)...

What do you guys think would be a fair price?
At what point should I consider it a bargain?

I'll try to get it as low as possible and of course go and try it...

    Any opinions?

    Thanks for the help...

I don't think you'll get it bought for less than a grand, but start out at $850-900. I don't agree with it, but the going rate of any Les Paul seems to be at least $1000.

$900-$1000 scratched up beater with freware.
$1000-$1200 Excellent price for guitar with slight signs of wear.
$1200-$1500 Average price for newish guitar.
$1500-$1800 Must be mint with no signs of use and nice top.

    New price $2100-$2300
