I know man! I had just got my arctic white tele when I saw those. Oh well, the white is the shiznit, so I'm not complaining.

What's the deal with them? It's not like there's any information or anything on that page.

the one i tested at the music store was fine.

good feel(!). didn't feel cheap in contrast to squiers or other copies.
    good sound.
    good price.

the output wasn't that high, compared to the us standard.
but it was fine for bluesy clean playing and some rock riffs

    i consider to buy one - although i couldn't find a paint i like

The natural is pretty sharp but I have a natural color guitar already. I want a black Tele.

Wow, it's funny that you post that... I actually picked one up at a GC about 5 or 6 months ago and I was wondering if it was some kind of special run. I couldn't find a bit of information on them. Interestingly, mine says "Limited Edition" on the back of the headstock. It plays and sounds superb, though. When I went to the store, I wasn't really looking to buy a guitar, but I picked this one up and it was like, "YES." It was a bit of an impulse buy, but I've been really happy with it. Mine's natural, it retailed for $420, but I got mine for $400 plus tax with a hardcase and new Elixirs. I definately suggest it, great guitar.

I had deeply considered one of these Ash Standards when i parted out my MiM Strat. I actually went online to MF.com and tryed to order one when it came up and said that they were out of stock until 10-17-05 Being the impatient person i am, i wanted a new guitar right then so thats when i ended up buying my Hwy. 1 Strat which i am really happy with.

I always liked natual Ash finishes on Fender guitars, and since i like the MiM Standard Tele that i have now so much, i knew one of these would be killer!
I guess its a good thing that i wasn't able to order one online, cause i wouldn't get to try out a guitar that i had already bought and it very well could be a lemon or have some sort of defect. I have heard some horror stories about trying to return something you ordered online and i really don't wanna go that route.

As far as the specs of these things, i'm pretty sure there exactly the same as any other Standard, just with an Ash body instead of Alder.

    I still want one!!
