    Default bass strings

    I recently purchased a Fender Precision Bass. I'm new to the world of bass strings. D'adarrio makes bass strings in short, mediium, long and super long scales. This particular P-Bass has the strings running through the back of the Bass. Which scale size should I use?

    I have never seen a P-Bass that was NOT a 34" scale...that would be "long" scale.
