Firebird MiniHB to fit a HB cavity?

Hi fellas,

Is it done? I mean do you know of anyway who manufactures firebird mini hb's (or some kinda covers for them) to fit a HB cavity?

I've never heard of anything like that, but some say that Filtertrons sound kind of like mini's. If that's really the case, TV Jones makes the TV'trons, which are 'trons made to fit a 'bucker cavity.

If you search the bbs, you'll probably find a post saying you can bend the feet outward slightly to fit the HB mounting screw dimensions. It would also take removing the cover and installing a new cover, perhaps with some dremeling of the new cover so it fits properly...the hitch is the firebird pups are held together by the cover and fall apart if you remove it...I believe another forum member put a cover over the whole firebird mini and potted the whole assembly to solve that problem.
