Default How to mount a cool rail?

    Guys-
Working on a very custom warmoth and so far down into the details that I'm not sure that I and warmoth missed a detail along the way-

I'm building a no pickgaurd front routed dual p90 and asked warmoth to rout for a coolrail in the middle- It came on Friday, but when I saw it, I realized that the rout is the same size as the cool rail, but doesn't have space for the ears- No problem mounting the p90s since the screws got throught the pups- But I'm not aware of anyway to mount the cool rails without room for the ears-

I've asked them for clarification, but could I be missing something?

    Thanks for any input!

So, basically it fits if you put it upside down and the ears lay on the body on either side? Just trying to get full understanding of the issue. If that is the case, then it needs to be routed to accomodate the ears.

Exactly- As if it was routed in a pickgaurd- It's obvious there's no where for the ears to go and I don't think you can even take the ears off of a cool rail, but just wanted to make sure that I wasn't missing something-

So I guess this body will be going back, but I wonder what they were thinking? How could this rout be used for anything (pickguard mounting would still have to have room for ears to be resessed)

Yeah, it wouldn't even mount with it in the pickguard. They simply did not route it wide enough. Take a picture for them so they can see the error. They'll fix it.

No problem. I've never seen a single coil that didn't have wings or dogears or tabs or whatever they're called...lol.

From everything I've heard about Warmouth, I think they'll make this right for you. Give 'em a call.
