i'll take the Vette! you can have all the guitars LOL.

Agreed..That V is hard to top..though I'd prefer a different color....black is not my thing...at least with a flame top.Originally Posted by XSSIVE
AFAIC, that Murphy I just posted is as good as it gets. That Ultimate Burst I posted is apparently one of only two ever made.

jeff. one day
you will come home and find a letter on your table.
it will read:
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
HAHAHAHA HAHA
-oh i cant breathe-
HAHAHAHAHAHA
with love
Davey
and you will get to your room and see all your guitars are gone
As I climb onto your back, I will promise not to sting
I will tell you what you want to hear and not mean anything
Then I treat you like a dog as I shoot my venom in
You pretend you didn't know that I am a scorpion, ya!

That Murphy and Beck are really nice. Sharp looking tops.
jeff, i have to be honest, the bursts are amazing but they do little for me. once you play a real burst the reissues and such just don't cut it. yeah they look cool and play great but there is still something missing. pretty guitars though, just not my thing i guess. i like my guitars a bit less traditional and a bit on the wild side.

I've played a couple really nice real ones (a 59 and a 56)..and a couple I didn't think were so great (a 60, and I'd guess a 57...goldtop w/ buckers). They all vary, just like new ones.Originally Posted by XSSIVE

The blues and greens on the HWY1s are just awesome too.
Mike,
PM sent bro. And that is a pretty paula...what is it? Looks like a plain std? premium plus maybe?
BTW...I found some brand new amber Stds with 50s necks online for like $1800 bucks. Guy has 3 of them for sale...he dropped Gibson and is trying to move 'em.

yeah, she's just a 50s neck standard prem. plus but that top is amazing IMO and i LOVE the trans amber color. i was looking high and low for a good deal a while back on a trans amber 50s neck but had no luck. they either had blah tops or some damage (rash etc) or the price was wrong so i got my ebony '99 standard 50s neck and i love it. one day i'll snag a trans amber top but it's not a priority anymore since i have enough pauls for now.
-Mike
Oh, well, if it's the classics you like, then you'll love this. LOL

Yeah these ones I found unfortunately don't have the best tops, if that's a concern. But I'm also beginning to like that color more and more. I think it's the whole Gary Moore thingOriginally Posted by XSSIVE
Erik,
Perfect!..is that a MIM 50s classic or whatever?

It's MIM. The pics I've been posting are from the Fender site. The part number starts with 013 which indicates MIM and 011 indicates MIA. There's also the American Vintage series which start with 010. Can't remember the MIJ one.Originally Posted by JeffB
