I don't get what the J stands for... Could that mean it's been wound by MJ...? And what do the initials MJ stand for anyway, does anyone know her real name on here? :P

Oh I forgot to add... There is nothing written under the baseplate. Just a sticker with TB10J.

It was wound by MJ

WOW...
That pickup always amazed me. It looked so clean on the outside and well, sounded amazing. Even better now that I swapped out the magnets. Thanks! I just thought of it today but I always wondered what the J stood for. I gotta talk to Odie about it.
Thanks!

It was wound by someone with the last name initial of J. It could've been wound by her, but I believe she's mostly in the custom shop now. Here name is Maricela Juarez.

False hopes for now haha... I'll ask Odie when he got the pickup and try to get more info about it, cheers

Yes, but those stickers also haven´t been used for a few years now... It´s not unthinkableOriginally Posted by JOLLY

Maybe ScottF or Evan can bring in some insight... That pickup REALLY is the most defined sound I've ever heard, and with a Ceramic magnet!

Wee bump, I'd really like to know, but I'm worried that there are no sure ways of being sure.

Yes its MJ (should be anyway), do I think it amounts to much if any difference? Nope, I sure dont!

I'd have no idea myself but this pickup sounds AMAZING that's for sure![]()
Heck, call her up and ask her if she wound it. She'll tell ya. When I had a JB with a dead coil, she asked me what the sticker said on the plate and when I told her "JBJ" she said, "That's one of my babies.". Now that is someone who takes pride in what she does.

I honestly wouldn't mind, but I don't have a home phone, and mobile to fix US would cost me an arm and a leg, and I need that arm to play this fantastic guitar with the pickupI really think I will once I get more credit though. This thing would cost me like 1 pound per minute.

Take a picture of the pup, front and back and e-mail her. She'll tell you...

No can do either, no camera yetI think I can live without being 100% sure, I suck at stats so 99% is just as good to me
All that matters in the end is that this pickup RIPS!

Does it totally rip becasue of the magnet swap? Has the Custom's ceramic magnet made the sound of it complete?Originally Posted by Pierre
