    Default My axes.. PICS!

Yes *****es and gents, I got pics of my axes now.

    Enjoy!

    My Warmoth Tele

    My Epi Korina '58 V

    My early '90's P-Bass

Sorry for the crappy quality pictures, but all the good ones were over 1MB, and ImageShack doesn't allow anything larger. I'll try and see if I can somehow upload the better ones, but for now, that's the jist of my collection.

Ahahaha, better responses than what I expected! Thanks!

Yeah, I'll give a basic run-down of each.

    The Tele (A.K.A. Torri)
Concieved sometime in the August twentysomethings of 2005, I placed the order at Warmoth, expecting to have an EMG Afterburner, and the three pots required for a Sustainiac sustainer, and always have the volume on full. Well, as the picture does NOT show, there are in fact 2 switches on the back cavity plate which controls the on/off, and the different sustaining modes. Pictures soon. EDIT: From the picture, top right knob is the EMG Afterburner, top right is the volume, bottom left is the sustainer intensity, and bottom right is the tone control.

    Epi V (A.K.A. Vanessa)
My first electric. From the picture, you can see there's an Invader in the bridge, and the stock neck pup (used to be a Jazz, but I wanted the orig. back in there, don't ask why). It's got some kick ass Marshall amp knobs from my bass amp, and the volume for the neck pickup will soon be an Afterburner also, which I well then have it wired for Afterburner -> Mas. Vol. -> Mas. Tone. I've got it strung and set-up for .14-.70's in Standard B Drop A.

    Fender P-Bass
My first axe ever, this thing has some serious mojo going on. It originally had no writing on the body, and had a white pickguard. Being the cheap ass that I am, I figured I'd paint the pickguard black and go with it. Well, while removing the pots from the pickguard, I accidentally bumped the wire for the tone pot, and now the tone pot is disengaged, so that's why it's underneath there. I've got it strung with a .108 for the lowest string, and I don't know what is on the higher 3, but all I know is that it's tuned somewhere between GDGD, or AEAE. I'm a fan of Joe Preston and his work with Thrones and Earth, and I'm also a huge drone fan, so I use the bass mostly for drone tracks. I plan on totally redoing the whole bass, EG new Warmoth neck, get a real black pickguard, white body, white DiMarzio DP127 pickup, black bridge, tuners, the whole thing.

PS - The Warmoth Tele is my pride and joy. In the last week or two that I've had it, I've already learned how to set-up a Floyd Rose, and let me tell you, once you have a perfectly set-up Floyd, it's the best damn thing in the world!

Another piece of praise for the Tele. Very classy looking, and likely a sleeper (in that it doesn't look like it's about to rip your face off). The bass has some serious mojo, too.

I'm not even positive! I've heard everything from Mahohany to Plywood and back again. I'm not experienced at all with defining woods by sight. It might just be a laminate, but from all I know, it sounds pretty f'n burly with that Invader!
