    Default Does it say the Pickup model anywhere on the pickup?

    hey guys,
    Do the seymour duncan pickups say what pickup each is?? I mean, is there a carved name, sticker or somthing that tells a person what model Duncan pickups is??

    on the bottom side of humbuckers I know it'll have the model name on a sticker, Id assume the same for single coils.

    You can check coil resistance with an ohmeter and get a good idea. Just compare your reading with the specs given on the Duncan website. You can also tell necks from bridges on logo pickups by the way the logo faces.

    with a sticker on the bottom, the name of the pup should be there (sh-xx) but without you could test the resistance and output.

    hey guys,
    Ok.. i got the pickup. Its suppose to be a Duncan Custom SH-5, but there is no sticker on it.

    Where do I have to meassure to find the resistance and output??

    ok.. I think I was able to meassure the resistance. I dont have a digital Meter here, so i used the needle one I have in the little kit I have.

    I put the dial on OHMS and connected each of the black and green wires to each of the red and black poles and I believe the reading was 14k.

    Thats close to the Duncan Custom. no??

    and finally.. how do I meassure the output??
