Look at this (French eBay)...

I have no doubdt it's a scam, but what really pisses me off is that there are hundreds of auctions like these, and it make it really boring to browse through ebay.

When i was first time bidding on ebay, it was a lonestar for about 500 bucks or somewhere there. Its kindda hard to believe, however ebay was fast enough to catch up with the bogus seller and cut off all his ads

I don't believe that the seller doesn't even give the model of the guitar and many of the auctions talk about ancient chinese craft...

Ebay charges a commission on the sale price. Ebay does not charge a commission on the shipping cost. Hence, millions of acutions for goods at cut-rate prices and inflated shipping.
