I actully really really like the new Vegas series guitars. Do look sumwhat like a starcaster. But still pretty kool. But I'm sure they'll most certainly Price it well beyond sumthing a person Like me could afford. So whatever.

I usually like the look of Gibsons, but this new stuff is just awful looking. What the hell is that giant mound right near the SG GT's bridge? Racing stripes belong on Fenders, NOT Gibsons. Same thing with the Candy Apple Red Finish. Gibsons look best when they are either Goldtops, Cherry Sunbursts, and the Heritage Cherry finish on SGs. Some other colors look nice, but those are the best, especially those 'bursts...magical looking if they are just the right amount of flames, not a large dark line around the edges of the top...kinda like Jimmy Page's Les Paul but a tiny darker around the edges of the top.
But back to the topic, I think Fender's new stuff is pretty cool. But Gibson should work on it's quality control and try lowering their prices a bit. Right now most of the Les Paul models offered other then the Historics are worth no where near the price they charge.

I liked the Vegas better when it was called the Fender Starcaster.
That Studio Premium Plus looks good though. I never liked the binding you find on the other models.

Hahaha, how's the bonnet scoop on the GT series!
I agree on the brass knuckle models etc. not suiting a Gibson price tag. You wouldn't think someone spending the cash on a Gibby would fall for gimmicky stuff like that. That logo on the headstock just looks cheap.

The Les Paul GT is ok looking i think, but i wouldnt pay the extra. All in all it seems like a gimmick. The others dont do it for me, and the menace series seem to childish. Brass knuckles? Fist inlays? No thanks. When i buy guitars anyway, things like straplocks ive had thrown in for the deal, tuners maybe (although alot of brands use good aftermarket brands anyway these days) and pickups eventually. Im imagining with the GT series the extra bits wont add up to the cost increase from a normal standard. Anyways, i cant afford a Gibby anyway right now!

I didn't even know that LP had new models until like yesterday.
I still prefer the old stock anyway, now the LP comes with tune o matic and I prefer the ABR-1 !

I tend to agree. And not because they're made for girls, but just because that "Vixen" is a nice, clean design.Strangely enough, I think the best models (besides the doublecut) are the ones designed for girls.
