Default Looking for a good stand

The gibson - rubber stand issue is quite scary.

It reminded me that I am thinking of getting a stand for on e of my Les Pauls, as I discovered the hardshell I keep it in is badly designed, the support points are the body and the headstock. You would have thought that it should be the body and the neck, like in the Gibson cases... wouldn't you?

Anyway, Which type and brand of guitar stand would you recommend?

I've seen once on a website, a stand that is closing himself on the guitar as you put t down. Is it a good one? I don't remember what the price was, but I couldn't find it back recently...

I got 2 new stands to replace my 2 rubber ones. I got them at Guitar Center for 14.99 each. FretRest by Proline is the brand and make. I have seen nothing but these used at guitarcenter so you know they are Les Paul safe.

I use the little Fender tripod stands, the ones that have a 2 arm cradle and a support that hits the guitar in the upper back area, below the neck joint. No support at the neck.

I have had zero issues with any of my nitro guitars, and it's a very clean look.

Folds up really small also, and you can carry it with you in a little bag to jams and gigs.
