    Custom 5, IMHO it's THE pickup for riffing though in your axe I would go Custom because of the midds.
    The Custom doesn't sound like ACDC at all (unless you want it to but not when you tune to C) and will handle low tunings very well. It has a nice agressive edge to it and is very muscular. plenty of low mids!

    I have a Duncan Distortion in the bridge of my RG550 - I think it is just awesome; then again I play 80's metal and what not.

    It's weird but the custom seems to bassy the last time i used it ...
    I think I have to check some pickups and compare them...
    I think of buying a TB-5 so i can compare JB, JB-Ceramic ~ DD, DC and C5...

    But I still think the Invader could work fine ... I have to ask a friend if he had a spare one...
