I'm having a buzz problem in the 2 and 4 switch position on my 1997 Godin LGX guitar. I understand that these are half of the humbucker in each position. Would it be possible to reconfigure these positions to accomodate the more distant half of the other humbucker to eliminate the hum without having to mess with the pickup windings. The S.D pickups are a Nickel covered Jazz Type and factory to this guitar and the 5 postions are as follows.

1- Neck Humbucker AB
2- half the neck A
3- both humbuckers ABCD
4- half the Bridge D
5- Bridge Humbucker CD

the idea is :

1- Neck AB
2- Neck and Bridge Halves AC
3- Neck and Bridge ABCD
4- Neck and Bridge BD
5- Bridge CD

Would this deal with the hum and still give a variety of tones?
