    Default my next Strat project

I haven't even finished my tele, I have a Strat being built and I'm already thinking about my next Strat, and here's one option that came into my head...standard Strat style, top routed, vintage trem, 1 volume and 2 tones, 5 way switch, but with 3 Duncan P-90's! Your thoughts on the potential tone, is 3 necessary?...discuss!

I'm not sure whether 3 P90s are "necessary", but it surely wouldn't hurt. You'd have more options, and it would look cool as hell.

Do they made RWRP p90s though? So that you can get some humcancelling positions.

They do. Duncan makes them. But ... well you'll probably end up putting a bridge model in the bridge and NECK positions, and the neck model in the middle position, unless you have the pups custom wound.

Personally, I think a Strat-style guitar with three P90s would be EXTREMELY cool. I have a testbed/project Strat-style (alder, maple/rosewood) that sounded very good even with Korean Sky P90s ("Kent Armstrongs").

    Gibson Hawk Series guitars rule!

Fave SD pups: Duncan Custom, Alnico II Pro, Pearly Gates, Phat Cats; Nashville Studio and Alnico II Pro for Tele; a Sadducer in my Crafter acoustic.
