Default question for distortion bridge users...

What neck pickup do you pair with the distortion bridge? From what I gather the distortion is a lot like the 500T, which in turn is what the Tremonti from PRS if based on. I had a Tremonti and had it paired with a 59' and got great results from this pairing. What are you guys using?

Wish I could help. The guitar I currently have a Distortion in is paired up with a sustainer. I hear that the Distortion neck is a very underrated pickup. If I had to choose I'd probably go with a '59 though.

The Jazz is paired up with a DD in my Thru neck mahogany RG. Very nice combination as well.

I wanna use the SH-6, but until I use the neck pickup more often, I'll stick to whatever currently occupies that position--a dag-blasted low end EMG.

put a set of duncan distortions in alder strat, rosewood fretboard, 1 volumne no tone, the neck dd is killer for leads, better than the jazz i had tried before, this neck pickpup and guitar combo is probably the best i have played for thick heavy leads.

I use the original 79 480R. It's similar sounding to an A2P for some reason.
