Look at the specs on the top one.

"SEYMOUR DUNCAN CUSTOM SHOP GL SUPER V (B) &
PHAT CAT (N) NICKEL COVERED PICKUPS"

Noticed that the other day, no idea as far as specs.

Kinda reminds me of the old jackson roswell rhoads...but I do believe stuff's been posted about the screamin demon V before...can't remember what it is. Too lazy to use the search function. Someone else can do it.
    Peace,

The pickup might sound good, but I wouldn't be caught dead with one of those guitars (and I like pointy guitars).

Oddly enough, I kinda like it. Just not the headstock, and not the price.

It looks like a car fender flair from the 50's.

The Super V is Lynch's new signature pickup. I have not heard specs, etc. I would not be interested in hearing it due to the utter disappointment and dispair that I felt when using the original Demon. Let me just go on the record as saying that--with utmost respect to Mr. Duncan and Mr. Lynch, the original Screamin' Demon sucks monkey butt.

Apparently, it's so bad that even George himself has given up on it.

I have an open mind, but can the new 'improved' version be much better? I'm going with a Full Shred bridge.

Search for it... the Screamin Demon V has been discussed before. The original Screamin Demon is a great pickup, I just think a lot of people are attracted to it because they inaccurately assume that it is a high output pickup. If you don't have that expectation, it's a wonderful pickup.

Based on the pic in that website, GL's hair is starting to look like it did in the 80s. That, my friends, is awsome.

The LTD is much more appealing than the ESP... neither is great looking, but there's no way in hell teh ESP version is $2700 better than the LTD.

so if a custom 5 os supposed to be a 59 on steriods then maybe you could add hex screws to make a Screamin Demon on steriods

You could put it in the tub or the pool with just the top bout showing and it would be great for playing "Jaws".
In 1861 as the Confederate forces were about to fire on Fort Sumter, the blue and gray had infinitely more in common than the blue and red today. What fellowship can "the truth shall set you free" ever have with "there is no truth, only points of view", or "what is truth?"

Secession would be a horror. But barring a major national crisis like a Black Death magnitude epidemic or nuclear attack to erase once and for all the myth that truth is negotiable, it is coming.
