Pickguard Quality

Hey guys,

I'm gonna put an HB in the bridge of my strat, so I need a new pickguard. Are the $15 pickguards sold on ebay inferior in quality to the $40 fender branded ones? I don't want some flimsy piece of crap, but I don't want to waste money either...

Well, there´s no REAL difference in teh material quality as far as I´ve seen, the differences are in compatibility and tooling precision for the most part... But IMO they can sometimes warrant a 30$ difference, depending on how picky you are.

But given a Fender guard and say a Warmoth guard that are otherwise identical in every regard: I´d take the cheaper one

+1 if it's standard color guard I'd spend the extra money and go w/ Warmoth or Terrapin.
