    Default Alnico/pearly gates or Alnico/CC

I'm looking for new pickups for my Agile 3000 running through a Traynor YC50BLUE. I'm looking for something that has good enough tone to play GNR and Led Zep, but also enough output to play Tool. I'm thinking about an Alnico II Pro in the neck with either a Custom Custom, Pearly Gates, or Alnico II Pro in the bridge. Which would be the best bridge pick up?

I'd use the Custom SH-5 in the bridge. It's classic enough sounding to pull of the Zep and GNR, and hot/tight enough to get the more modern high gain Tool stuff. Very nice pup and a very good match for a Les Paul style guitar bridge spot. It will match nicely to an APII or PG neck.

I've got the an Alnico II Pro in the neck and a Custom Custom in the bridge. I really don't like the Custom Custom. WAY to much output for Zeppelin and a lot of GNR. I don't know much about Tool but if they have a modern sound theres probably a lot of bottom end. The Custom Custom has lot of high end, but not much bottom.

OK - my CC axe is my go-to zep guitar?!?!? Obvious difference of opinion. I can see the CC on some GnR, but not others. As for tool - don't think so. WHile CC is hot it just doesn't seem scorching to me. But the mid goose is VERY distinct.

MAybe an A2p/PG, or even and A2P/59. The tool sound will mostly be amp drive anyway - the 59 should work just fine. Pearly if you want a little more top.
