The SD-1 cuts alot of low and high frequencies and sounds flatter but u can barely tell under gain just when using on a clean signal.

Before I spend $169.00 on the Ibanez Tubescreamer, I am going to have Stratdeluxer97 do his TS808 Mod on my Boss SD-1.

The modded SD1/808 will be alot ballsier and thicker in the lows, will offer more sustain and gain and be alot smoother than the stock SD1...It won't sound "exactly" like a TS9 or the 808 but it will surely posses the whole vibe of one of my modded Tube Screamers....I always make sure it meets my fussy approval before I'd ever send it back to you George! It's gotta sound great to me first!Originally Posted by Stratcat

It's 25 euro cents, with 2 euros shipping to the UK for a RC4558 opamp. It's hard to find others though it seems.
