I have been playing strats for so long that when I pick-up a Les Paul-type guitar it feels so back-end heavy it is ridiculous. This is usually in a music store without a strap. I LOVE the looks of Les Pauls and that Agile looks pretty killer but I wonder if I'd ever be comfortable playing the thing...... even though I grew up playing a black/creme Les Paul Standard. That is a damn nice looking man.

Will do!Originally Posted by tone4days

yeah, they seem to have done a pretty nice job on the cosmetics ... if it kicks some tail in the feel and sound departments, i see one in the future ... would be funny to have a guitar with a set of seths or ants in it where the pups cost more than the axeOriginally Posted by TwilightOdyssey

That's a really nice finish. Have you ever played an Epi? If so, when you get it will you let me know how it compares to an Epi LP.![]()
Interesting choice Ben....and nice color!
ColdSweats going in it?

That's prolly what I'd go with as well for an axe dedicated to music in your (our) style.Originally Posted by TwilightOdyssey

Even though their site says that guitars are not shipping until the 1st week of May, I received a Fed Ex tracking number last night, and as of this morning, the guitar is already on the truck for delivery!
I'm having it delivered to my office, so I may not get there before the driver this morning; worst case, I'll have the guitar on Monday!!

Wow, I really expected to see a Wayne or something. That blue is perfect. It makes for an absolutely gorgeous guitar. Enjoy!
Me too....I was pretty surprised yesterday when I saw this.Originally Posted by JacksonMIA

Well, wonder of wonders .... not only did I find out this morning that the guitar shipped the same day I ordered it, but that it shipped FedEx, and was out for delivery TODAY.
It just arrived in my office. First impression is that it's VERY impressive!! Finish is good, parts are very good, inlay work is suprisingly nice. Acoustically, it sounds brighter than most LPs, probably due to the maple neck. The profile is very comfortable, and the neck finish is great. Frets are hand filed and look good. The neck actually plays GREAT!!
Also, the top is quilted maple, not a veneer or photofinish! Not the most flamed piece of wood, of course, at this price, but I don't like highly figured tops, anyway.
These pics aren't so good, b/c I don't have time for nice ones, but this will give you all the basic idea:
