EMG did not work out so i went back to the good old JB.

I installed the EMG 85 in the bridge spot and it has too much output
I simply cannot imagine these in the neck as there are usually used?
I like the JB's output a tone a lot more.
I may give the dave mustaine set a go since i read these are the active JB/jazz set?

Uh, yeah, they're basically an active JB/Jazz is what they say. Don't know when they'll come out though, but supposedly DM is already playing on them....

Actually- the 85 is quite awesome in the neck. Emgs aren't "hot" in the same sense as a passive bucker so you can get them quite close to the strings with no problems. In fact, that's where they sound best- lowered the tone is thinner.
