    Default H-S-S Recomendations...

So I'm putting my Fender Fat Strat back together. To make a long story short, the neck was off kilter in the pocket… so I had to get a new one. Now I’m to the pickup stage of the game. I’m thinking about a Custom or a CC in the bridge. What single-coils play nice with the C or the CC? Keep in mind that I want true SCs. I need the neck to the fairly hot, to keep lead work smooth. I’ve tried the Quarter Pounder in a couple of guitars, but didn’t care for the tone, so that ones out. What would you guys recommend?

The only single coil size pickups I've ever loved with a bridge humbucker are the new Classic Stack Plus pickups. I've used them with a JB and the tone was fabulous. Lew

I can only say from experience how versatile my strat is. Whatver Duncans are like the SDS-1, throw them in with a JB. Man, this setup just cooks.
