Default An attempt at Crazy Train.

Ibanez rg321 with CC in bridge thru a PODxt, into garageband.

    Backing track from http://www.guitarbt.com

This is three guitar tracks. Left and right mono tracks and one center stereo track. Center track includes all lead guitar, and was done in one take.
Some of the lead parts are messed up, I haven't played that song in years.

All comments or critiques are welcome.

    Here's the link:

    Thanks for listening

Mmm, maybe I'm the only one who hears it, but if the fills are so fluid, why cover them up with all the flange? Not trying to be a prick, but it's a little heavy...

    Thanks everyone.

There is no flange. a little bit of chorus to cut through the hi hat, and some verb. Did I over-do it on the chorus?

Sweet man, sounds great. Very tight riffing, and the tone is very appropriate for the song. Great job.

Wow.... sweet tone! Again your playing kicks ass! I think the fills are fine with the effects. Keep up the good work, and don't forget to post more clips.

    Thanks guys..
I used a PODxt and a USB cable.
The line6 website has the drivers, free download.
I think they only work for OSx 10.3 or better.

    Thanks everyone.
    Your comments are very appreciated.
Now that I'm beginning to get the hang of recording guitar,
my next major task will be to record vocals.

I'm not sure I want to hear me sing though.
but, with a decent microphone, I can record my Peavey ultra 212
instead of the PODxt. It sounds much better.

    Thanks for listening

Very cool!! I really enjoy it. The only mionor thing I hear is that your rhythm guitar is a tad behind the beat. Not off the beat, mind you. Randy really attacked his Rhythm, which gives the tune a bit more 'ooomph'.

    Really fun track!!
