Default How can i tell if i have neck or a bridge pickup?

hi, i bought a JB witjh gold cover off ebay without checking whether it was neck or bridge position. If i put it in with the seymour duncan logo on the back the right way up then the screws are nearer the neck then the bridge! does this mean its a neck pickup? thanks

Off the top of my head I can't remember what the orientation of the logo on the baseplate usually is. But....

If it's a JB then by definition it is a bridge model. A JB is usually used as a bridge pickup and paired with a Jazz or '59 in the neck position. What does the sticker on the baseplate say?

There is no neck model JB, it is a bridge pickup.
