My Belman double cutaway archtop grand is the best guitar I've ever played. Any other guitar when I play just feels like wood, this thing feels alive when I play it.

My first guitar is nice, but I can't get use to the neck again.

I have a feeling the BastardCaser will be my fav...once it's finished.

    I'd love to have a TB500 someday.

I'd gladly settle for an Artist though.

My favorite is my R9......for now Although the '62 RI Strat is giving it a run for its money. It was a "pissed off ex-wife" special from Ebay. But it turns out that the ex-hubby was in th music biz in Nashville and it appears that he knew what he was doing and cherry picked this mutha. He got him a new 24 yr old girlfriend and wifey got the guitars It may very well be the lightest Strat i have ever handled. Now this may change again when I finally get all of my pickups installed in the Gibsons and the '52 Tele....who knows
Fantasy guitar would be a real live '59 Les Paul, but if I had that kind of spare cash, I would probably buy a Ruf Porsche Turbo R or Aston Martin DB9 roadster instead

    My #1 guitar is my 01 R8.

    My #1 bass is my G&L L-2000.

I know you're thinking- "hey The Golden Boy, I thought you were a total 'vintage snob.'" I am, but these 2 instruments are just clearly superior for what I need and use them for.

This definitely my favorite guitar at the moment. It's my first guitar in the Les Paul world. The best part is the neck totally the opposite of my strat's thin neck, with thick 59 RI type neck. The strat's neck seems very a shredding type of neck to me now.

I used to own s/n 117 that looked a lot like that one. I hated it- it was heavier than any other guitar, really bright- and when I owned it, during winter the neck was either freezing cold from being transferred in my trunk or burning hot from trying to warm it up.

BTW about the "wish I could have" guitar...

I'm pretty happy with my stable right now. However, if Scott Lentz was to build me a bass to my specs... Basically a 54-57 P-Bass body with a rosewood fingerboard and 1.5" nut width... that's pretty much my dream bass.

Oh, but there is nothing like the feeling of an aluminum neck in your hands...so alive!! It is like no other!

I'd bet you'd have hated it as much as I did. It was really frickin' cool to own s/n 117, but in all objectivity it really wasn't a "great" guitar.

I'll watch out for that serialr. Of course there are dogs out there. I've only actually played my friend's TB500. It's a great instrument.

Pickups have been changed to Alnico II Pro / Phat Cat / '59 since that pic.
Also the knobs were switched to amber tophats.

Oh, and I added a mini toggle in the middle of the 4 knobs, to control that middle pickup.

Dream guitar would be a 3 pickup Les Paul I once saw at a shop here. It had a beautiful flame top, not sure what kind of wood... but I will never forget that guitar.

Never seen anything like it either. It had 3 open coil Seymours. Anyone maybe familiar with that model?

My favourite would have to be my MIJ Squier E-serial Strat:

My dream guitar would probably be somewhere close to this:

I have a weak spot for Tele style guitars, and I just love the glassy tone of the pickups on those ASAT Specials. Maple fingerboard is a must, the Bigsby on this particular one is a cool plus. I might even go thinline!

Oh, and eversince I saw this picture pop up two years ago in a Guitar World Guitar Buyers Guide, I'm totally in love with it. See why for yourself:

Guitars: EBMM Silhouette Special / G&L ASAT Special / ESP Horizon / Squier MIJ Strat / Squier Aff. Strat / Furch S23-CR / Taylor Baby
    Basses: Cort NTL-BFL acoustic fretless / Ellio Martina Forza 5 / Fender MIJ '75 RI Jazz / G&L SB-2 / Ibanez MC924 / Ibanez ATK300 (2x) / Ibanez ATK305 / Italia Torino / Longbow 2-string / Rickenbacker 4003 / Sandberg Bullet 5 fretless

One thing I've noticed about this thread nearly everyones dream guitar is not their guitar. Come on guys, you don't need to spend $8000 to find your dream guitar

Favorite guitar... tossup between my two LPs (one real, the other a Pearl-branded copy from Japan) and my Hag II (still the greatest neck ever).

Dream guitar? Dunno, but I'll know it when I play it.
