    Default Turkey Burgers.

So, I decided to Try grilling some "turkey burgers" Today, cause I don't eat beef. I had the taste for a burger, an I remembered that Ground turkey was suppoused to be really really Similar to Ground beef. But apperently that is a lie. They came out tasteing more like Feet smell, and the texture was sumwhere between a chicken breast, and grass clippings. Totally disgusting in every possible way. Anyone else tried this disgusting crap?

on a side note. My dog enjoyed them. But then again, she eats her own Poop on a regular basis.

I'll do ground turkey and make burgers out of them....

Taste pretty good too. We'll use a little cajun seasoning in them for flavor and some onions too.

    *shrugs*

Now the Buffalo burgers......those things friggin' rock!

yeah I eat veggie burgers all the time, they're excellent. But not really like a real burger, ya know? I was hopein the turkey would be more like I remember hamburgers being, But apperently not.
Maybe they are really close in taste, and I just don't remember them correctly? Its been a long time since I've eatten beef. Maybe after all this time a real hamburger would taste like feet to me?

I did a few years off of bovine.

When I would have a random burger or something it was like I was trying to digest something impossible; stomach was upset for about 24 hours after, nausea, occasionally vomiting, diarreah....I was a mess.

Just be careful if you're going to jump back in.

My sister had the same reaction after 3 years as a vegan. On a similar note, my cousin married a woman from Alaska raised on wild caribou, elk, etc. She could actually smell all the chemicals, etc. in store-bought beef. "Like it was soaked in bleach" was her description. The local McDonalds got her up to speed (and fighting weight) soon enough.

Funny you mentioned it, but that's what I had for dinner tonight. A nice big fat Turkey burger with all the fixins. Somehow, I've gotten myself away from beef in the past 4 years. I'll still eat beef with no guilt whatsoever, but I honestly just eat chicken, fish, and turkey nowadays.

Tofu and veggie burgers on the other hand.....you can keep that lesbian food!

Excuse me, I am a lesbian trapped in a man's body lol

As for turkey burgers, I BBQ mine and they are great. Mix in some kosher salt, ground pepper, onions, garlic salt, and other herbs or sauces. I eat veggie burgers, tofu hot dogs, veggie sausage etc.. no red meat or pork.

Yeah, apperently I'm a lesbian too. Thats fine with me. haha.

The only stuff I put in the turkey burgers was some "garlic and herbs" mrs. dash, and some worshire sauce. Maybe thats why they were disgusting?
What kinda tofu hot dogs ya eat? I've never found any I thought were decent, they always seemed "odd" to me. They all just tasted wrong.
What kinda veggie burgers? I can't stand boca burgers, so I always buy "yves - good burgers", but I'm always up for trying some new ones.

I tried the tofu hot dogs once...and only once. I'd go the turkey route if I ever decide to go off beef/pork.
I do like that soy "hamburger" in chili; it has a similar texture, and all the spices, etc. cover up any funkiness.
