strat springs

ok on my strat i have 3 springs pulling the bridge(stock) if i put 4 on what will its do? will keep in tune longer or what? its a vintage like bridge that lays dowe with body.

The springs are to counteract the tension of the strings, I have 5 springs on my floyd just because I have way more string tension.

Really if it isn't pulled up from the body then you really won't need them and they won't do much at least as far as I know.
