Pickup screws too small to mount in pickguard holes

What should i do? The screws that fit the SD pickups are much too small for the holes in my Ibanez pickguard.....

So, should i modify the mounting holes on the pickup, making them bigger....

Or, somehow make the pickguard holes smaller???

Help would be much appreciated!
