Default Oasis tops Beatles in UK best-album poll

Great! This is all Oasis needs! Let's pour more fuel on their already gigantic ego's.

Here's the link that list's UK's top ten albums of all time. Discuss?

Meh....it's a great album. Both that one and "Morning Glory" are fantastic releases.

I tend to think that the egos are a little less now that they've released a few albums that didn't do quite as well as the previous ones did.

Oasis are not fit to shine the Beatles shoes (even the dead Beatles).
Gibson LP Melody Maker -- stock, Epiphone Dot -- Jazz neck and '59 bridge, Fender Telecaster Blackout Deluxe -- stock, 90's MIM Standard Strat with Duncan Texas Hot Custom in the bridge.

Funny thing about stuffing an artist down a younger generations throats....they tend to resist.

How I long for a Beatles reunion....

All it'd take is 2 bullets

On a serious note though, Oasis did/do have some good songs, aswell as some crap. It's the same with The Beatles.

I also prefer Radioheads earlier albums (Pablo Honey, The Bends etc) to later 1's like OK Computer.

Everyone has their own versions of these lists, so it's always a point to argue over
Gibson, PRS, Fender, Patrick Eggle, BC Rich, Gordon Smith, Jackson, Ibanez and Home-built Guitars.

Splawn Quick Rod, Soldano SLO Clone, Marshall JCM800, Matamp + old Carlsbro amps, Zilla and Award Session speaker cabs.

Mainly HomeBrew Electronics and G2D FX, plus a few other.

I've always failed to see what was/is so great about Oasis. They are just another UK band to me... one that isn't too particularly noteworthy.
Duncan Pickups in currently in use: '59 (rewound to PATB-3)/'59, Custom 5/AP2H, Tapped QP set for Tele, Duncan Distortion, SP90-1/SP90-2

I wonder if that was the same CD I chucked out the window after 6 songs.

I don't hate Oasis, but to compare them to the Beatles is like comparing Noel Gallagher to George Harrison and John Lennon, and comparing Liam Gallagher to Paul McCartney. It's laughable.

I much prefere Oasis to The Beatles, it doesn't get much more ove-rated than the beatles in my honest opinion. Definately Maybe is a great album, shame oasis never got near that again.

I meant the beatles are over-rated in my opinion, in the way that a huge amount of people think they are the greatest band ever, and from what i've heard i certainly wouldn't put them in that catagory at all, catchy pop-song writers maybe, but i certainly wouldn't put them in the same league as a band like The Clash or Radiohead on intelligence and generally great music. Just my opinion.
