New(ly purchased) music!

I don't know how many hundreds of cds I skimmed through at the used music store today, but I came away with 6 cds. Kind of disappointing as I usually find more good stuff. Though, as I mentioned in another thread I saw some hot chicks in bikinis. So the trip was worth it.

The Beatles - Please Please Me
Al DiMeola, John McLaughlin, Paco De Lucia - Friday Night In San Francisco
Paul McCartney - Flaming Pie

I listened to part of Jeff Beck's "Truth" which was just okay on first listen. Paul McCartney's "Flaming Pie" is really good. Right now I've got John Coltrane's "Blue Train" in.

The rest I've yet to listen to. Hope I enjoy them.

Cool selection, man! It looks like you saved the best ones for last (IMHO)--
both the "Presence" and "Friday Night..." CDs will blow you away, especially
if you're already familiar with the studio versions on "Friday Night...".

"Achilles Last Stand" on "Presence" is probably in my top 3 favorite Zeppelin
songs, and one of my favorite guitar solos!

I've got "Friday Night In San Francisco" in right now. Yowza. Amazing performance and very well recorded, especially for a live show.
