Default In Memory Of Robin Crosby...

I'm a day early, but won't be around tomorrow.....we all knew Warren could rip it up, but Robin was the backbone of RATT.

I am with you Puckboy. Robin may be my favorite rhythm guitarist.

He would have been a pretty good lead player in most other bands.

Robin and his Jackson playin' some Ratt tunes made my night.

Great links to some early RATT man... Robin Crosby tore it up back then...

... but so did Warren, and Juan, and Bobby, and Stephen's fashion sense!

I saw Ratt 3 or 4x back in the day, they were always really good. I loved their 1st EP, you knew they had it. Always stromg albums too, shame they freaking hate each other.

    RIP Robbin

A lot of those killer Ratt riffs are Robins. I really like his solo in "Wanted Man" which would be the scond solo right after Warrens. When Robin was on he had some great feel in his guitar playing.

Pretty cool footage, Terry--thanks for posting that! Nice to see some pro
shot footage from back in the day! I saw that recent VH-1 Behind The Music
episode that featured Ratt--what a tragedy.

I also came across this a couple of weeks back--Robbin Crosby playing a
solo in the studio shortly before he passed away: VIDEO LINK

OMG....those are awesome clips. They're one of my favorite bands from the 80's. I always looked at 2 guitar metal bands after them as Ratt clones (except G&R, they were just different altogether).

Robbin was one of the best rhythm players of the era, no doubt.

No matter if you love them or hate them its sad when someone of this kind of talent dies from a drug addiction. I have a couple of Ratt cd's and its always fun to listen to the great guitar work on those recordings.

One of the best shows I ever saw was RATT at the Pier in NYC in 84'. The band was hot as a pistol that night. I was about 7 rows back on the left side of the stage right in front of Robin. Luckily, Robin was a big Dude... Cuz' Juan the bass player was NUTS! with swinging that bass around. A few times during the show Robin almost got brained with that bass headstock. RIP ROBIN

He died of complications from AIDS in 2002. He was addicted to heroin but it wasn't an overdose that took him. Then again, maybe he did. Read "Curt's Journal". http://www.robbincrosby.net/words/body.htm

According to Ratt's Behind the Music episode on VH1 they said he overdosed on heroine before he would die from AIDS.
