    Default acrylics

hey guys, sorry to bug you all again. BUT i can't find my old thread that i posted about my problem with my thin/bright sounding acrylic V and LP. I read where the X2N goes with your guitar instead of trying to change it, giving me (if installed) a very screaming lead tone...my question, will it actually make it any thicker? or keep its same thinner sound. also, im open to other suggestions on pickups...if i remeber correctly, i think before some people said the breed, the invader, and super distorion??? im also wondering if active-EMG's would do the trick. basically i want more balls for my leads. i want something with character, and something that will rip your face off but still have some good tone behind it. please help. ive looked at so many different pups that everything is starting to run together. so i guess over-all my question is: invader? X2N? Breed? Actives? Custom? what are your thoughts? thanks all. have a good one

Think about the Shadow EQ5 its whatever you want it to be. It is an active pickup that you can adjust like a EQ pedal.

two questions, is it the pickups that you dont like, or the guitar? and, what pups do you have now?

the invader has a lot of balls, and a ton of round bassy tone that will probably help balance out the high thinness of you guitar. if thats the problem, sounds like the acrylic isnt the greatest guitar material.

as for a pickup change, x2n has great screaming bright highs with a good tone. The evo2 seems to be what you want, though i have never used it myself so i cant really recommend it.
