Body wood

I`m replaceing my 72`telecaster deluxe body! The MIM body i have now is to bright ( i think its ash). I`m gonna have 2 duncan buckers in it,vintage style strat maple neck w/70`s headstock. What wood do i go for? Swamp ash or alder?
Will warmoth swamp ash give me a fater and tighter sound than a alder?
Pleace help me out with this if you know something about it

Ash, both types, are brighter than alder. Swamp Ash is tight in the low end, but alder is usually fatter in the lower mids. Alder does still have a fairly tight bass, so were your wanting tight bass and some fatness, along with less brightness, alder is the better bet.
